Rescuers in Scotland are looking to help the world's loneliest sheep, which has been living on precipitous cliffs for two years and is so overgrown that it can barely stand. The animal was first spotted in 2021 by a traveler kayaking from Balintore to Nigg in northern Scotland. At that time, the woman could not even think that something had happened to the animal. In 2023, she traveled to the area again and saw this sheep. Then the traveler became worried, noticing that the animal stuck in the rock had grown significantly in fur and was dragging along the ground. This is described in the “MIR 24 TV” report with reference to The Times. As noted in the source, for a herd animal to live alone is torture. As tourists swam by, the sheep desperately tried to make contact with them. It is believed that the animal was formerly part of a herd that sometimes grazed in the area. The landowner made several attempts to save the sheep, but each time he had to give up because of the dangerous rock. Drones have now been sent to search for the sheep and a rescue operation is planned.
