The sixth Central Asian expert forum “Central Asia: Features of Interaction” began in Bishkek on October 12. The forum was organized by the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with the assistance of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia. As the publication “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age” writes, more than 60 specialists from Central Asian countries are taking part in the forum, including heads and experts of strategic research institutes, representatives of governments, ministries and departments, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, and representatives of the media. The main goal of the forum is to discuss current issues of interaction between the countries of Central Asia, to find ways to strengthen cooperation and development of the region. Turkmenistan is represented at the forum by the head of the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Shiri Shiriyev and researcher at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Dovletmurad Mammedov. At the first session of the forum, dedicated to deepening cooperation between the countries of the region, Shiri Shiriyev will make a report on the prospects for the development of regional cooperation. Dovletmurad Mammedov will present a report on the current state of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia.
