The Dubai skyscraper Burj Khalifa was painted in the colors of the Turkmen flag in honor of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan. “We wish the people of Turkmenistan prosperity, development and success. Happy Independence Day!” says a press release from the company building the tower, Emaar. The red and green stalagmite with Turkmen gyols and a crescent with five stars has become a symbol of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries. Located in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa tower has 163 floors containing hotel rooms, apartments, restaurants, cafes and offices. The United Arab Emirates are long-standing and major trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. Contacts are effectively developing in various areas, including through business structures.
