China intends to create an internal metaverse that includes three to five companies, the Izvestia newspaper reported, citing the Chinese edition of the South China Morning Post. The Metaverse is a virtual world, the digital “inhabitants” of which are able to interact with each other as in real life. The creation of a metaverse using artificial intelligence, blockchain and virtual reality technologies is planned for 2025. Companies embedded in the metaverse will produce household appliances, textiles, and steel products.
